How you will contribute?
As a Knitwear & Jersey Product Developer you will work on a variety of Product Development-related in an extremely international, creative and fast-paced environment. You will play you play a critical role in bringing design concepts to life through meticulous planning, execution and quality assurance throughout the product development lifecycle (from prototypes launches to industrialization final step). In particular, you will:
Support design in feasibility, up to date on trends, suggestion on style from a product point of view while keeping in mind merchandising input and consistency in the assigned category.
Coding of the models, the compilation of the bill of materials and the transfer of information to suppliers.
Processing of data related to prototype and BOM development (PLM System).
Support in management of PLM System (data entry, amendments, updates, etc).
Support in management of requests from the Design team (insertion in the system, updating on the collection board, etc.)
Be part, in a proactive way, in the meetings with external stakeholders to review materials and collect all the relevant and necessary data for ensuring a smooth and linear advancement of the collection (e.g. materials / accessories / yarns to be sent, update of the bill of materials and so on).
Manage the whole prototyping and sampling phase until putting the products into production, making sure that the direction, brief and expectations given by the Designers and Creative Director, have been taken into consideration and fully respected.
Collaborate with Industrialization and Production Team to share, on a timely and accurate manner, all the relevant information.
Ensure that the budget allocated, the collection timing, deliver request as well as final price target are always followed and respected.
Support in materials research for yarn and jersey fabrics.
Who you are:
4-5 years of experience as a Product Developer within the Fashion industry (preferably with a focus on knitwear and jersey products)
Strong understanding of knitwear construction, fabric properties and garment manufacturing processes.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with the ability to conduct thorough fit and quality assessments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry regulations (compliance standards and practices related to apparel manufacturing)
Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken).
