The Tailoring & Outerwear Product Development Assistant will be responsible for supporting the development process of the product category, ensuring that all activities related to the production cycle are executed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design team by helping to understand their vision and concept for the Ready-To-Wear Tailoring & Outerwear Collection, providing assistance with technical insights to help refine the design concepts.
Assist in following up with suppliers regarding prototypes for tailoring and outerwear garments, based on directions provided by the Head of Tailoring and Outerwear Product Development.
Work closely with pattern makers, sample sewers, and other professionals to help refine prototypes and ensure they meet design expectations.
Help organize and participate in fitting sessions, assisting in the assessment of garment fit and aesthetics.
Ensure that final samples are produced according to design specifications and within the required Collection Calendar.
Keep accurate and organized records of design specifications, patterns, samples, and production details.
Assist in creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM) to support production accuracy and improve material sourcing and ordering.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in product development (preferably in tailoring or outerwear).
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate across departments.
Passion for fashion and keen interest in tailoring and outerwear trend.
