How you will contribute
Reporting to the Kering Travel Retail Director, the Head of TR APAC will guide and support the Brands in the development of the channel, helping them to set and implement the development strategy, also helping them to improve the current performances.
He/she will develop the relationships with market players, especially Landlords and Travel Retail Operators, and will support the spreading of the TR culture and standards in the Group.
Work on business development opportunities for brands
- Work internally with brands to help them defining their development path in the channel (location, opportunities, timing, etc.)
- Build and consolidate relationships with key airports and travel retail operators
- Define strategy, conduct financial modelling and support the brands in the assessment of the opportunities
- Negotiate with partners to implement the defined TR strategy
Support brands monitor and improve their own performances
- Monitor and challenge Travel Retail brands performance
- Put in place a market intelligence activity on the ground
Implement Kering TR strategic initiatives and projects
- Support the spreading of the TR culture within the group, supporting training process and delivering ad hoc studies / research on new trends in TR
- Help and support the definition of TR standards, learning from Group best practices
Who you are?
- At least 8 years of experience in Travel retail, either in a TR Operator or in a Luxury brand
- Strong knowledge of Asian markets
- Knowledge of the luxury industry, of the travel retail operators and airports authorities
- Proven relationship-building, negotiating and influencing skills
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Good standing
- Strong analytical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to urgencies and changing priorities
- Proficiency in English and Chinese
