In addition to its state-of-the-art Bespoke service, the House offers unparalleled, made in Italy, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories, both for formalwear and leisurewear, as well as fragrances.
Founded in Rome and part of the Kering group, Brioni designs and crafts in the spirit of slow luxury, a value for the planet and people that unites the craftsmen and communities behind the House.
Your opportunity
Your mission is to make the Brioni out-of-the-ordinary projects successful. This is a pivotal role to co-inspire, organize, lead, and help execute projects that fall outside the scope of the regular product offer and duties of other functions, such as the implementation of product launches for capsule collections, third party collaborations, fragrance/licensing and new product categories. You will partner up with all concerned functions to verify strategic relevance, risk and market potential up-front. You will seek cross functional alignment and coordination to ensure these projects are set-up from the start for success and delivered in a timely manner in line with the strategic, qualitative, financial and commercial KPIs.
How you will contribute
- Drive the roadmap of Brioni special projects
- Co-identify and help investigate new ideas, up to the level of conclusions, including business case verification, for the executive committee to be able to take a decision on the viability of the project or the way forward.
- Create and maintain a rolling calendar of special projects. Incorporate the necessary aspects to ensure projects are locally relevant. Assemble the functions key to the success of a project and clarify their responsibility, typically Merchandising, Style Office, Product office, Retail, Buying, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Communications & PR, Visual Merchandising, CRM, Retail Excellence, VIC, eCommerce and Digital Marketing. Develop a retro-active roadmap and simultaneously coordinate all required efforts.
- Ensure the right governance, methodology and documentation is applied to these special projects. Set-up a system of validation gates and ensure the relevant functions and experts are involved. Ensure clear and timely sharing of information among the concerned teams such as headquarter functions, regions, sales teams and external partners.
- Report on progress, deviations from plan and choices to make to executive management. Ensure timely and appropriate alerts, propose workarounds and seek support to overcome potential roadblocks. Discuss these projects during the go-to-market meetings.
- Conclude and document on key learnings from previous projects to further strengthen the know-how for future projects, in a constant learning mindset
- Manage the daily licensing operations
- Support the Strategy and new business development director, and style director, and other executive team members on the business development and operational activities for licenced products.
- Partner up with the licensee team. Directly coordinate the efforts with various functions and external specialists for product development, marketing and communication material, visual merchandising, press days, retail training, ecommerce, POS material, showroom activity, VIC events …
- Manage a detailed regional calendar. Think of ways to further grow licensed product categories and how to maximize brand exposure, while always ensuring the appropriate presence in line with the Brioni image and standing.
- Amplify the brand reach via development of third-party collaborations
- Identify opportunities for new product categories and brand collaborations to drive substantial growth, using market research and due diligence activities. Help vet new suppliers.
- Lead a cross functional team in the exploration phase to establish the commercial impact of potential new product launches and collaborations. Share the findings with the executive committee for project sign off and KPI settings.
- Kick off projects involving cross functionally key departments and ensure delivery of the projects on time and on budget.
- Support the negotiation of contracts with suppliers to create fair and balanced terms.
