Kering shows its support for International Women’s Day. Since 2019, the Group has shone a light on talented women in an effort to reaffirm its commitment to women across the board. In March 2025, Malika Favre lent her unique artistry to the Group’s promoted motto – “Not Just Today” –, reiterating the need for unwavering commitment when it comes to upholding women’s rights.
2025 sees the Group give free rein to Malika Favre as she creates an original work. The shade of indigo blue captures the concept of “Not Just Today,” with a fresco focusing on “sorority.” Each picture depicts a succession of women who are gentle, resilient, defiant and supportive – gradually revealing a white bird symbolizing a dove – as a reminder that women’s rights are the result of perpetual struggle.
Malika Favre
Malika Favre is a French artist and illustrator whose style consists of reducing the strokes and colors of her creations to capture the “essence” of things. Juxtaposing minimalism and boldness, Favre fosters a dialog between positive and negative space.
Her work reflects an ambition to tell a story, sparking our imagination while repurposing the ordinary by mixing a splash of humor with a touch of sensuality. Over the last fifteen years, Malika’s illustrations featured for Gucci and the Montreux Jazz Festival along with prestigious press publications such as The New Yorker and Vogue, not forgetting Penguin Books.
Malika resides and works in Barcelona.
Kering’s pledge to women is a long-established priority, centering on three pillars, namely: “Empowering Women,” an internal policy that champions diversity, parity and equality as well as upskilling talented women; Kering Foundation, which has sought to combat violence against women the world over since 2008 and Women In Motion, a decade-long program spotlighting women in culture and the arts.
Since 2019, this deep commitment has been illustrated by the Group's participation in International Women's Day, echoing the sentiments of “Not Just Today” – which is now a guiding principle at Kering – expressing the Group’s perennial pledge to promote, every single day. Year in, year out, Kering empowers female talent to create a work in honor of this momentous occasion. Leveraging the Group’s social media, this work enjoys full exposure, with global reach.
2019 saw Soledad Bravi develop 9 visual illustrations reflecting the Group’s sense of commitment toward women. Later, in 2022, the artist, actress, screenwriter and director – Charlotte Le Bon – conceived a phygital work with a set of lithographs foregrounding the three words of Kering’s celebrated motto. In 2023, “At Kering, we strive to empower women. Not just today, but every day.” inspired Lou Doillon’s illustration of three women’s hands – with each evoking one word of “Not Just Today.” Then, last year, Catherine Meurisse, the first female illustrator-cartoonist to become a member of France’s Académie des Beaux-Arts and the only woman in Charlie Hebdo’s editorial team upon joining in 2005, added her own masterstroke to our “Not Just Today” ethos.
